I wanted something sweet for breakfast this morning.
First I thought about making regular waffles, but I wanted something a bit different.
So I went for the yeast version.
They are vegan and turned out great!
I bought this jam set a while ago.
It’s a “cheese pairing” set, and I was waiting for the right opportunity to try them.
But I just couldn’t wait anymore (lol)!
I didn’t have cheese, but my homemade vegan butter has a rich flavor that somewhat mimics something fermented.
So, I thought this would work.
I chose Cherry & Rosemary.
This was really good!
I would have liked that the jam had a little stronger rosemary taste, though.
One of my favorite mugs.

Hi Reiko, hope you are doing well! As always, still loving your blog, I come and check everyday ☺️ Always such an inspiration to me.
I was just curious if you had a base recipe for these waffles? Also I remmeber you used to make waffles with that heart shaped maker, do you have a base recipe for the non-yeasted waffles as well? I just got a waffle machine so wanted to try it out ☺️

Hi William,
I’m thrilled to hear that you continue to visit my blog! Thank you always for your kind words. 🙂
I have a yeast waffle recipe kept at my old post, “Liege Waffles”. (Pearl sugar is optional.) For non-yeast waffles, I don’t have specific go-to recipes, but I recently found one that I would like to try myself. https://jessicainthekitchen.com/vegan-waffles/
I’m excited to hear you got a waffle machine. Happy waffle-making!!
