I’m not a huge fan of raisins, but since I had some I needed to use up, I soaked them in rum and added them to muffins.
Rum raisins go so well with cinnamon and vanilla.
I’m tempted to just eat the top.
The top is so crispy and yummy.

Salmon was one of my favorite fish when I was still eating fish, and I loved the flavor of the smoked salmon.
This vegan smoked salmon is delicious.
It’s got all the flavors you want from smoked salmon, and it completely satisfies my craving.
I do have the recipe for my vegan smoked salmon, https://sideb.culinarytribune.com/2019/06/01/carrot-loxvスモークサーモン/ .
(I like to double the marinade to ensure every piece absorbs the flavor.)
Homemade seed bagels.
Homemade vegan cream cheese.
This cream cheese turned out delicious.
I am planning to share the recipe soon.
Keeping it simple.
Cream cheese, smoked salmon, onion slices, and capers.
I love how it looks.
Scrumptious!
I like different types of bread, but I have a lot of memories associated with bagels.
The first time I was introduced to bagel was when I was home-staying at a Californian family as part of the summer ESL (English as a Second Language) program of the college I was attending in Japan.
I went to ESL class at church while staying at one of the church members’ house for about a month.
I still remember how delicious it tasted the first time I tried bagel smeared with a thick layer of cream cheese.
Since I liked it so much that my host family would make sure they had bagels every morning for my breakfast.
I was 19 at that time.
Who knew I would be back in the U.S. and baking bagels myself later in my life.
Seed bagles: black sesame, white sesame, hemp seeds.
