V Street was on our list for a long time.
I don’t know why it took us so long to try because we come to Phrom Phong a lot.
But we made it. Finally!
V Street is located in the Emsphere mall.
It’s easy to find.
Look for red-blue-white tiles.
They serve mostly Thai food, but you can also find some “Western” dishes like pasta, wraps, and salads.
They call their food “high street vegan food”.
It’s a sister brand to Vistro.

There were a lot of dishes on the menu, but my husband and I both picked the same thing (lol), “Banh Mi Wrap”.
We didn’t want to order two same things, so I decided to try something different (hubby promised to let me have a bite of the wrap).
I got V Street Boat Noodle.
The wrap was delicious.
I didn’t think the flavor profile (or ingredients) was necessarily Banh Mi, but it was still a super tasty wrap.
The boat noodle was very good too.
There were different types of “meat” and mushrooms, which was very satisfying.
The noodles were perfectly cooked.
And the broth was very flavorful.
It was 260 baht, and I felt it was a bit pricy (maybe I was paying for the location).
The decor was interesting.
Unique for sure.
I couldn’t quite know what style they were going after (lol).
This was a different day, but if I don’t post them, I will forget about these pictures.
So here we go.
Last week we decided to check out a temple a friend of mine had recommended.
It’s Wat Rachabophit.
It’s a historic royal temple built by King Rama V in 1869.
The tiles were absolutely beautiful.
The architecture and the tiles both showed European influence.
This temple is not the most popular temple (there weren’t many visitors), but we were glad that we went to see it.
I found it very elegant.
Outside the main temple there was some garden and some beautiful white buildings, and we enjoyed walking around this area too.
I wanted to spend a little more time there, but it was a very hot day, and we were ready to have a break where it was air-conditioned.
Wearing a long skirt (me) and long pants (him) didn’t help either; we purposely dressed ourselves that way to show respect for the temple.
We didn’t even have energy to look for a “cool” cafe.
This was the first cafe we saw, and we quickly went in (lol).
It was called Motu Bangkok.
This tiki decor was something I didn’t expect to see in Bangkok (lol).
It had a tiki x vintage vibe, and it was pretty cool.
We felt alive again after a glass of butterfly pea lemonade and a bottle of water.
As soon as we left the cafe, we realized we were very close to one of our favorite vegan cafe/restaurant, Bevan Vegan.
So we decided to go there for a little treat.
We were hoping to try their cheesecake, but it was not in their case, so instead we had a chocolate cake.
It was rich, chocolaty, perfectly sweet (not overly sweet), and delicious.
The denseness (in a good way) reminded me of brownies.
