Coming from an island country surrounded by the sea, I do love seafood.
You may think I don’t get to enjoy any “seafood” anymore since I’m on the plant-based diet.
Well, that’s actually not the case.
There are things found in the ocean that are plant-based.
Hijiki is a type of seaweed, and it’s used in many dishes in Japan.
Sautee garlic, Hijiki, and chickpeas with olive oil.
Add tomato sauce, and then freshly cooked pasta.
The Hijiki gives plenty of flavors that remind me of the ocean.
So good.
